Today for Cousin Camp we went to the temple. We even got to go in to the front of the temple to the waiting area (to use the potty). The kids were so reverent. I was proud of them. When we were walking out Kaitlyn turned and looked down through the lobby of the temple. Then she came over to me and said, (something like) "The temple is beautiful! I've never been inside one, not even to the lobby!" It is beautiful! I love the temple. I love the way I feel when I am at the temple. I hope the kids could feel the same way. I think that they did, maybe they didn't fully recognize it or understand it, but they acted differently there than they would have at a park or something like that. Monica told her kids as we walked towards the temple, that she and their daddy got married in this, the Bountiful, temple. Maddy told me a little later that she was going to get married in the temple. I told her that we recieve many blessings because of the temple. She told me that she gets blessings when she is sick, then she feels all bette. We kind of casually, as we were walking or taking pictures, talked about how because of the temple, our family would be together and that Heavenly Father blesses us through the temple.
After the temple we went and grabbed lunch at McDonalds then we went to the separate houses and ate and changed into play clothes. Then Moc, Katie, James and Megan came over and we painted plaques that we are going to mount pictures of us at the temple onto so each of us can remember that our family is forever. I'll post pictures of those when they are all done. It was really fun to see how individual each one is. We have some very creative and talented kids!
