This is the Ghost Town at Quake Lake. Lake Hebgen shifted in the earthquake. One side of it dropped 21 ft. Several of the cabins from the area were swept up by the water and just floated around for awhile and finally ended up here.


It was kind of eery to be here. To think about what happened and how much changed in just a couple secondds. It was a huge reminder that this is all temperary. Things can change so fast. We have to make the most of every moment and make time for those things (people- family) that matter most.

On the way down to Ghost Town we passed a big nest and one of the kids thought they saw something in it. On the way back to the main road I wanted to use my zoom to see if I could see what was in the nest. When we stopped I saw a little horse or a deer or something.

This isn't a horse nor a deer. It was a moose! It has some little nobbies growing on his head. He was just down there eating. He wasn't very far away so we all got a good look at him Jase especialy was excited because a moose was the only animal on his shirt that we hadn't seen yet and he really wanted to see one. This one didn't have a large rack, but that's ok. It was still a thrill to see him.
