Today we just took it easy- kind of. We slept in a bit, ate breakfast, then went swimming! The kids top pick for an activity! We all got pretty silly. Here are two of my mermaids. I got to be a mermaid too. We all got to search for treasure (it takes a lot of imagination to find invisible treasure), take it to the treasure chest to keep it safe- and most importantly- stay away from the mermaid catchers.

Poor Jase got caught by the merman catcher. I had to go save him. Don't worry though- when the mermaid catcher caught me, he let Jase go then promised me he'd be nice. - that meant I didn't get dunked!

Here's my youngest mermaid (the one with the biggest imagination) and my second mermaid-her current- for that very moment- gaurdian. We had a blast swimming!

Opps! This picture is out of place! Oh well! After swiming for a while, we came up to the room and got dressed. This took quite a while though because there wasn't enough hot water for all 6 of us to shower. After we finally got dressed we walked to KFC and got some lunch. It was pretty cloudy, windy, and chilly. After we ate the weather had cleared quite a bit and warmed up a bit. We walked around Canyon Street (the main street) and made our way over to an Old Time Picture studio. We decided to get some done. There was already a family in just starting so we wondered around some more. There are so many fun little shops- a ton of t-shirt shops! It was a great distraction while we were waiting to get the pictures done. We went back and got all dressed up. The girls were "age appropriate saloon girls", I was a victorian lady, my Jamisons were cowboys. Man they are handsome cowboys! It was so fun to do the pictures. Poor Ashley was covered, but felt so uncomfortable in her dress. It only had one strap on it then had a boa to cover her up. She held it pretty tight. I'm so grateful for her modesty. Nat and Emi's dresses were more modest and they didn't have a problem with them. We had a hard time choosing which picture we wanted. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a picture of it and post it. Or just wait until we get home to show you.
After the picture we went to the old fashioned candy store. The kids had as much fun looking at the candy as they did eating it! Maybe even more fun. Jase and Emi picked out some candy but the rest of us chose to wait until the next store to get some ice cream. The restaurant where we got the ice cream was owned (partnered) by the High Priest Group leader in the ward that we went to on Sunday. Jamison said that he told about how they often hire LDS kids to work there and the other partner has noticed a big difference in them. He asked the HPG what the difference was. He is interested in learning about the church because of their examples. I got some "Buffalo Chip" ice cream. It was mighty tasty. While we were eating I looked at my watch and realized that it was about 5:30! Yummy dinner!

From there we went to the Yellowstone Imax movie. It was impressive. Emi wasn't too impressed- she fell asleep about 5 min's into it. After that we went and got some pizza for our real dinner. Then hit a few more stores on the way home. I wanted to get a Yellowstone shirt or sweatshirt. We went into one store and the guy told us that if it wasn't marked on sale it was %20 off. Sweatshirts were $10 off because it was kind of cold. He said that he already has everything cheaper than he will have it in a couple weeks when tourist season really picks up (July & August). He noticed the sweatshirts that Ash and Nat were wearing and commented on how nice they were. He asked if he could see the brand on Ashley's. He looked at the tag and told us that he does a lot of work with that company and was surprised that he hadn't seen this one. He thanked Ashley for being his "guinea pig" and told her to go pick out a magnet or something for free. He was a great salesman. He wasn't at all pushy, just personal and made us feel like we were getting a great deal- and we were. I had been debating between a sweatshirt (I had my eye on one at a different store) or a hat/t-shirt combo- after dealing with this guy I got the sweatshirt he had. Ashley got a little bear keychain thing- free. Natalie wanted one too so the guy said, "I'll tell you what, since your sister gets one for free, I'll give it to you 1/2 off." Then gave it to her for even less than 1/2. After we left, Emi cried and cried because she wanted one too. Finally we asked her how much money she had left. She had enough so Jamison took her back to get one. They walked into the store, got the bear, took it up to the guy and Jamison said, "we've had a lot of tears because she wants one too." The guy picked up the bear and gave it to Emi and said, "No charge." Emi walked out of the store and said, "We didn't have to pay for mine either!" I'd go back to that store again.

We've had another great day. Tonight when we were trying to get the kids to bed Jamison mentioned that it was 10:00. Ashley said, "Wait! How did that happen? This day has gone so fast!" Time really does fly when your having fun!
