Clogging in St. George!

Today I checked the kids out of school around 11:30 and Jamison came home from work early. We packed up the car, ate a quick lunch of Totino's pizza that I left in the oven too long while we were busy packing so it was burned- or, as I like to say, a little lower in calories! We took Toby to my parents, got gas and headed to St. George! It was cold and rainy/snowy/hailing/ gloomy for most of the drive. The roads weren't too bad though so we were safe. We got to St. George and had just enough time to check into the hotel, The Comfort Inn, get Natalie's stuff all gathered, stop and get dinner (thru the drive-thru at Wendy's) then run over to the Convention Center where the America On Stage Clogging Clogging Competition was.

She didn't actually dance until almost 8:00 but we were there just before 7. Her team did so great! They all looked confident and happy! Especially Natalie! She has been having 1/2 hour private lessons for a few weeks and I could tell that totally built her up and prepared her for the competition. It was so fun to watch them (and of course take plenty of pictures of them).

Natalie's free- style wasn't until about 9:30. Natalie looked like she was having a lot of fun! We waited around for the results for both the team and the free style. Ash read, Jay was bored, Emi played with a friend who was in her clogging class when she took clogging, Jamison read, Natalie hung out with Lauren from her team, and I spent the time taking more pictures of other people from the studio. I love taking pictures!

Well, the waiting was well worth the wait. Her team took 1st overall!!!! The studio took 1st over all too. Then the host brought out a bag of sour patch candies and had a competition to see which studio was the loudest. Again, Natalie's studio won!
