Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a great day! We went to church and had great lessons then came home and kicked back- a little bit. We made chewy chocolate peanut butter cookies, Jamison took the kids out to go deliver/doorbell ditch some valentines to Grandma and Grandpa Yardley, and Meg and Rach, and to a couple of Ashley's friends. They also returned plates to Hansens (used to give us some delicious cinnamon rolls) and MacAurthers (used to bring home some great cake that Natalie and Savanah made). The plates were returned with some of the cookies on them too. Macee delivered a cake valentine to Emily. Then Aunt Megan delivered these way cute (and tasty) valentines to us. The kids caught her before she could get away. The box is from her and the hearts are from Aunt Jess, Uncle Justin and Evie. The picture says, "Hey Valentine! Let's HANG out." SO CUTE! Jess is so creative! Later we got some treats from the Remingtons, a family in our ward whose daughter is Emily's friend and Aunt Rachel (she's the only one we didn't catch- we didn't hear her). Grandpa Yardley delivered some goodies- a bag of toffee, some candy, kazoos, little valentine beach balls, some little stuffed monkeys that have "I love you written on them" and the book "Bear Hugs." We have felt VERY loved today!
Tonight we had our friends, the Maybees over for dinner. Brother (Scott) Maybee served his mission in Korea too so they are very familiar with Korean food. Scott is working on a project for work in Alaska. He's been gone for about a month and has until April. He gets to come home to visit sometimes but it's a long time for the family- especially Kim. We decided that we wanted to have some korean food for dinner and having them join us would be a ton of fun. The are a fantastic family and have shown us so much kindness ever since we've moved into the ward. We are grateful for them.
Bulgogie! Or Poolkoogie! or however it is written in romanized characters- Korean Barbeque, except we don't bbq it, we just cook it up in the fry pan. But it is YUMMY! In our family and in the Maybee family, it is also called "Korean Tacos". It is made by marinating meat (I used pork this time but it is good with beef too - or even chicken) in a soy sauce, sesame seed, garlic, onion, sugar... marinated for a while then cooked up and served with big lettuce leaves to wrap the meat, rice, garlic, fry sauce, ramen noodles, and kimchee... up in then eat it up. It is very messy but so yummy and fun to eat. I'm made it several times for other people but I think only once for someone who actually knows what it is. They seemed to like it so I'm grateful. We had a great time with them over for dinner.
